Sandra Hume is a longtime Laura Ingalls Wilder enthusiast who, entirely coincidentally, left her lifelong home of Boston to marry a Kansan farmer. She’s been a professional writer all her adult life. Her twice-yearly newsletter The Homesteader, about Laura Ingalls Wilder and her homesites, was mailed to paying subscribers worldwide from 2002-2012. She is a founding board member of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Legacy and Research Association, which organizes and sponsors the LauraPalooza conference.
