A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, Lenzy Krehbiel-Burton is an award-winning journalist and a third-generation graduate of Oklahoma State University. She is a lifetime member of the Indigenous Journalists Association and her byline has appeared in publications ranging in circulation from The New York Times to the late, great Bigheart Times in Osage County, Oklahoma. She and her husband live on the northern edge of the Muscogee Nation reservation along with their two children, a geriatric cat and a dog who has never met a two-legged stranger.
